‘Committed to protecting every citizen’s freedom’: PM Modi on ‘intolerance’ in India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said India, which is the land of Buddha and Mahatma Gandhi, is committed to protecting every citizen’s freedom.
Prime Minister Modi said India does not accept actions against the accepted social norms.

“Therefore, India does not take any incident lightly… Each incident is important to us in the population of 15 million. India is a vibrant democracy. India protects the rights of each and every citizen and his or her freedom of thought and expression is safeguarded in our Constitution,” he added when asked about the ‘growing incidents of intolerance’ by the British media.
