CM pitches for golden harvest in Palamur

Favouring a golden harvest in near future in Palamur, Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao today directed the officials concerned to complete on war footing the irrigation projects in the backward district through land acquisition.

During a high level review meeting with the officials at camp office here on Friday, KCR asked the officials to see that the parched lands in Mahabubnagar should be flown with abundant Krishna waters to irrigate crops for golden harvest. For this, the officials have to resolve all the issues and overcome obstacles to irrigate the lands by speedy completion of the projects avoiding further delay. Stressing the need for redesigning of the projects to slash inter state problems KCR asked the officials to be kind enough towards those displaced people due to completion of the projects such as Palamur, Kalwakurthy and others.

The government is committed for the welfare of the victims he said adding that District Collector has Rs 300 cr funds for the rehabilitation and displacement works. He asked the officials to complete the land acquisition process by purchasing lands at market rate. KCR promised to provide a job to each of the displaced families for immediate succor. The Chief Minister directed the ministers and MLAs concerned to hold talks with displaced families so that rehabilitation works and relocation will be completed on time. Ensure that those displaced be provided with all necessary help, he added.

KCR stated that on humanitarian grounds the government will provide as many as 15,000 jobs to those displaced families for land acquisition. (NSS)
