CM asks Collector to settle widow’s land row

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today directed the Khammam district Collector to do justice to Suryakanthamma, whose two-acre land was grabbed in the district. She is a widow of Venkata Gajapathi Raju, a freedom fighter from Nugur village in Venkatapuram in the district.

The woman on Tuesday met the Chief Minister at the Secretariat and complained that two acres land allotted by previous government was encroached upon and sought justice. Reacting on her plea, the Chief Minister rang up the Collector and asked him to see that the woman gets her land back. (NSS)
