City police ban DJ in the upcomming Hyderabad festivities

City police have issued orders against use of any DJ equipment in the city for any functions including the forthcoming festivities.

Prakash Reddy, deputy commissioner of police, North Zone, on Friday held a review meeting with DJ suppliers of north zone area and ordered them not to lease out any equipment for any occasion including forthcoming Bonalu festivals.
The order seems to be a result of the fiasco happened a few months ago ‘the police constable who attempted to stop a DJ was beaten badly’.

It is to be noted that BJP MLA T Raja Singh from Hyderabad attacked the police constable after the latter stopped marriage revellers from playing loud music without prior permission of police late in the night in Mangalhat area.
“Loud music may create tension in the city and to avoid any nuisance we are banning DJ for all celebrations”, said Commissioner Police.

Deputy Commissioner has warned the DJ suppliers that cases would be registered if they caught leasing equipment under the Indian Penal Code.
