Chhota Rajan’s brother-in-law is a BJP’s Neta

BJP has recently appointed the brother-in-law of Chhota Rajan, Rahul Walunj as the vice president of its labour outfit. Walunj was with the Shiv Sena before joining the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP).

Interestingly Rajan wanted in several criminal cases that include extortion, murder, smuggling, drug trafficking and film finance and also in 17 murder cases.

Chhota Rajan’s arrest was made last Sunday in Bali with the help of Australian Federal Police, ending a 28-year-old global manhunt.

The party legislator from Nagpur, Sudhakar Deshmukh, who heads the labour outfit, said that as Walunj has no criminal background there was nothing wrong in his appointment, the Bangalore Mirror reported.

“He has no criminal record and why shouldn’t he be given a chance,” Deshmukh said.

Ironically, a few days ago, when Chhota Rajan was arrested in Indonesia, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had said that Maharashtra will seek his custody as “Rajan had committed many crimes in Maharashtra”.

However Walunj was not available for comment, but Deshmukh said that Walunj had his own identity and addressing him only as Rajan’s brotherin-law didn’t do him justice.

The BJP sources said that Walunj has a strong presence in the Maharashtra labour sector.

AAP national spokesperson, Preeti Sharma Menon has slammed the BJP govt, talking about delivering clean politics but doesn’t implementing the same. the same.
