Chief Secretaries of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, I.Y.R. Krishna Rao and Rajiv Sharma respectively, met today at Telangana Secretariat to discuss on the issues of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University and Telugu University.
The Chief Secretaries of both the States have discussed to sort out the issues of Telugu University, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University. Dr. Rajiv Sharma has agreed to start the study centres in the Andhra area immediately and AP’s Chief Secretary has agreed to pay the charges as decided by both Finance Secretaries.
The issue of pending arrears payment to APGENCO was also discussed in the meeting. Telangana’s Chief Secretary promised to pay at Rs. 150 crores per month. Both the sides decided to sit together and reconcile balance amount, with reference to which there is a dispute. The current demands would be made up to date from this month onwards.
Senior Officers Premachandra Reddy, Sumita Dawra, K. Sunitha, B. Udayalakshmi, Vijayanand and others attended the meeting. (INN)
