Cheetah Creates Panic in Medak Village; Injures Eight Persons

A Cheetah has created panic for about seven hours in Chukkapur village of Medak district today, by attacking people. Eight persons were injured in the attack and the cheetah was finally trapped by the villagers and the officials of forest department.

Reports said that the cheetah entered the village in the morning and started attacking people. Villagers and the forest depart officials tried to trap it, but as the net was of inferior quality, the cheetah escaped from it. In the second attempt made by them, the cheetah was trapped at around 2 pm, providing relief to the villagers.

People who were injured in the attack by the animal were shifted to the Fever Hospital in Hyderabad. The condition of two of them was stated to be critical. (NSS)
