Charges levelled by R.K. Singh stand: JD (U)

Patna: Janata Dal (United) spokesperson Sanjay Singh on Saturday said the allegations levelled by BJP leader and former home secretary R. K. Singh that “money was taken for distribution of party tickets” was 100 per cent true.

Terming BJP leader Sushil Modi as “anti-upper class”, Sanjay Singh said Sushil Modi was responsible for denying ticket to BJP stalwart Kailash Pati Mishra’s daughter-in-law, and got C. P. Thakur removed from the post president of the Bihar unit, and denied a ticket to Thakur’s son from Digha.The JD (U) leader said, “R. K. Singh is right that tickets were given to criminals and businessmen in lieu of money, while party workers have been ignored.”

He predicted that the National Democratic Alliance would be defeated and the Mahagathbandhan, comprising the JD (U), the Congress and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), would form the next government in the state.
On Saturday, R.K. Singh had alleged that money was taken for distribution of tickets for the forthcoming elections, and accused the BJP of neglecting sitting MLAs.

Assembly elections in Bihar will be held from October 12 to November 5. The counting of votes will take place on November 8.
The term of current assembly expires on November 8.
