Virtually throwing a challenge to the Hyderabad City police, dare-devil chain snatchers resorted to snatchings in the broad daylight in the State capital.
According to the Kanchanbagh police, while one Nagamani was walking on the road on some work in Maruthi Nagar area, two desperadoes riding a bike, came from behind and snatched her gold chain weighing about 5.5 tolas. The shocked housewife rushed to police station and lodged a complaint with the Kanchanbagh police.
In another incident in Yadav Nagar Colony under Chaitanyapuri police limits, two bike-borne miscreants snatched a four-tola gold chain from the neck of 63-year-old one Radha Devi on Road No. 5 in the colony. The victim has lodged a complaint with the police stating that while she was going on foot on some work, two youths on bike came from behind and snatched her chain and sped. (NSS)
