Centre to offer twofold funds to AP: Haribabu

BJP president of Andhra Pradesh State K Haribabu today stated that the Centre is ready to offer double amount of funds than what the state gets on getting special status. Talking to press persons he said that the BJP dispensation at the Centre is preparing a plan to offer twofold funds to the Andhra Pradesh state. He flayed the opposition for creating ruckus and confusing people on this issue. The Centre, he said, is committed for the development of the Andhra Pradesh by sanctioning Rs 1000 cr for Capital City construction though its plan was not ready. Though the Congress leaders, who did nothing for Polavaram project during 10 years rule, are now raising their voice he deplored. The BJP Government is committed for the state development and implementing many schemes that were not mentioned in AP Reorganisation Act, he said. There is no need of panic for people on special status demand. (NSS)
