Centre issues advisory to states to be alert on terror during festivals

New Delhi: The Centre has asked all the state governments to be extra vigilant against terror attacks aimed to disrupt peace during the upcoming festival season.

The Home Ministry has issued an advisory asking all states to deploy additional forces in crowded places like markets, railway stations, bus terminus and religious sites to foil any attempt by terrorists to carry out any attack.

The advisory was issued after intelligence inputs suggested that five Pakistani terrorists have entered India in recent past.

The Home Ministry has asked the police forces of metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad to be more vigilant during the upcoming festival of Durga Puja and Moharram.
