Centre committed to end terrorism at all cost, says Union Minister Harsh Vardhan

New Delhi : Highlighting the achievements of Narendra Modi-led government in the last 15 months, Union Minister Harsh Vardhan on Sunday said the Centre was committed to end terrorism at all cost.

“Giving a befitting reply to terrorists in Manipur and Jammu and Kashmir, the Centre has time and again shown its commitment towards eliminating terrorism,” he said while addressing the two-day Pt Deen Dayal Upadahaya Prashikshan Mahaabhiyan of the BJP cadre here. He said the NDA government in the last one year has taken steps to provide benefits to the poor, ensure good health for all, check corruption, besides setting up washrooms in schools and providing electricity in villages.

The Union Science and Technology Minister further said that the country has helped Nepal, Maldives and other nations at the time of need.

“The government also has good understandings with nations across the world, including USA, Germany, Japan, Saudi Arab and others. The day is not far when India would be a leading economic power in the world,” he said.

“Saving our precious countrymen when they were in need in ISIS affected nations, the government has set an example that it will save them be it here or abroad,” he said. He further said, “Bullet train would be a reality soon along with various facilities in trains and all the platforms will be Wi-Fi enabled soon.”

Digital India is not a dream today but a reality and soon most of the facilities will be available on mobile, he added. On Swatch Bharat Abhiyan, Vardhan said every Indian has a responsibility towards contributing in making India the cleanest country in the world.
