Captured by IS, Indian Engineer talks in favour of them, says he was never tortured

Bhubaneshwar: The 48-year-old biomedical engineer from Odisha Pravash Ranjan Samal who was kidnapped by suspected Islamic State (IS) members in Libya said he was never tortured in their captivity.

According to report published in Deccan Herald, Samal said, he was treated well in IS captivity and provided meals everyday.

Pravash was abducted from Sirte town in the North African country last month.

Pravash who is a native of coastal kendrapara landed in New Delhi on Wednesday where he met foreign ministry and intelligence officials, including National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, before returning home on Friday.
