Chief Secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao participated in a video conference being held by the Cabinet Secretary P.K.Sinha today from New Delhi.
Sinha interacted with the Chief Secretary to review on the construction of functional toilets for girls and boys in the Government Schools under “Swachh Vidyalaya Initiative” a Government of India Scheme. Main aim of the scheme is there would be no schools without separate functional toilets in the Government Schools.
The Chief Secretary informed the present status of the construction of toilets in the schools across the State. The toilets are being constructed by the State Government, PSUs (Public Sector Undertakings) and other private organizations. He assured that Andhra Pradesh State will meet the target before 10th of this month. (INN)
