Burns warns Kiwi bowlers ahead of Gabba Test

Sydney, Nov.2 : Australian batsman Joe Burns has warned New Zealand bowlers to bowl well or get punished when he will open the first Test along with David Warner at the Gabba in Brisbane.

Describing the characteristics of the stadium, Burns said if the bowlers miss their spots then it would be a great opportunity for batsmen to score well.

Burns admitted that he needs to focus on making runs as he is going there to do his job, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

The 26-year-old said he has to perform well and make sure that he doesn’t rely only on David Warner to take on the entire burden.

Earlier, skipper Steven Smith has said that he would bat at number four in the upcoming three-match Test series against New Zealand.

Australia will be playing three Tests against New Zealand at their home soil, starting from November 5. (ANI)
