Gopalapuram police arrested the accused involved in the kidnapping of a 27-day-old, infant and rescued the baby. According to the police 22-year-old, T Rama Devi had lodged a missing complaint in which it was stated that Master Naga Chari was kidnapped by a youth named Suresh. Gopalapuram police registered a case in this connection and began manhunt.
During the investigations, 25-year-old, Mohammed Arif R/O Hakeempet Tolichowki was arrested and the kidnapped infant was rescued from his possession. It is said that Mohammed Arif’s sister Nasreen married to Jameel 10 years ago. She is childless hence her husband had decided to conduct second marriage. Arif contacted Suresh to supply a baby boy and later offered to buy the infant of Rama Devi. Failing to make the deal the duo executed kidnapping plan. Suresh is still absconding.
