BJP’s ‘double speak’ shows imminent defeat: Congress

New Delhi, Oct.19 : Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi on Monday said Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Sakshi Maharaj’s remark attempting to save Prime Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit shah in case the party suffers defeat in Bihar depicts the NDA’s double speak and hyprocrisy

Reacting to BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj’s statement that if his party loses in Bihar, it would be ‘Bihar’s loss and not Prime Modi’s or Amit Shah’s’, Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi on Monday said that it depicts NDA’s double speak and hypocrisy since their defeat is inevitable in the Bihar assembly elections.

“I can almost call myself prophetic. It is a truth and sometimes truth has a strange way of getting out. As sure as defeat stares at their ( NDA) face, as sure as defeat is written on the walls, the process of avoiding accountability for the two principle faces till now has started. This is a case of ‘heads I win tails you lose’. If I win it is Modi and Amit Shah, and if I lose it is you. This kind of double speak and hypocrisy does not work in politics. Poster pulling out will not help NDA,” Singhvi told the media here.

Singhvi further said that the BJP is following the policy of the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) and the country needs to be protected from such kind of fascism.

“If I share your philosophy without speaking up that is double hypocrisy. We need to protect this country from this kind of facism,” he said.

Maharaj on Sunday had said that Bihar must realise it has ‘cancer’ and needs ‘immediate surgery’ if it has any hope for development and that if BJP loses in Bihar, it would be ‘Bihar’s loss and not Modi’s or Amit Shah’s’.(ANI)
