BJP vows to expose TRS irregularities: Laxman

Telangana BJP would expose “irregularities” of the ruling TRS government right from deletion of voters and delimitation of wards in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).

The BJP GHMC Election Management Committee today held a meeting in view of GHMC elections at party office at Nampally here.

Speaking to the media later, party’s floor leader in the Assembly Dr K Laxman alleged that the TRS government was working at the behest of the MIM to capture power in GHMC. The people are aware of the gimmicks of the TRS and they would teach a fitting lesson to it in the GHMC elections, he said.

Referring to reservations in the GHMC, the BJP leader alleged that the TRS government has slashed the number of seats to the SC and ST communities. He also alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has turned elections into a gambling and resorting to all sorts of wrong-doings. Laxman also accused KCR of making mockery of elections in local body elections by luring leaders of other political parties.

The BJP, in coordination with the TDP, would launch campaigning in the GHMC area from Sunday. As part of the campaigning, division-level meetings would be organized besides padyatras and basti meetings. The BJP would take the welfare programs of the Narendra Modi government at the Centre to the gross-root level and expose the empty promises made by KCR, he said. (NSS)
