BJP poll drive to be intensified

Election campaigning of Telangana BJP for Warangal Lok Sabha seat would be intensified further with the participation of Central leaders, including Union ministers from Saturday.

Addressing the media here, Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy said election campaigning for combined candidate supported by TDP would be further intensified as Union ministers and Central party leaders are likely to participate in election campaigning in Warangal.

Strongly refuting charges of TRS leaders that the BJP leaders are provoking farmers to question the functioning of the State government when its ministers and leaders visited their villages for the purpose of election campaigning, Kishan Reddy said it was a baseless allegation. In fact, people are fed up with the functioning of TRS government and expressing their ire by raising questions. He also alleged that the TRS government and its ministers were leveling allegations against the BJP government and the State BJP leaders in a bid to cover up their failures. He ridiculed the remark of TRS government that cases would be registered if people were provoked.

Kishan Reddy alleged that there was a total chaos in delimitation of new divisions of GHMC. There was no transparency in division of wards. GHMC wards have been divided at the behest of the MIM party to get political mileage, he said, adding that divisions and wards were bifurcated in such way that it would help both ruling party and MIM party candidates to get elected in the elections.

Alleging nexus between ruling TRS and MIM party, the State BJP leader said the TRS government has adopted delay tactics in conducting elections for GHMC. Finally on the direction of the State High Court, the State government inclined to conduct the elections, he said.

Greater Hyderabad party president B Venkat Reddy questioned when the TRS government could conduct a house-to-house survey in one day across the State, how can it fail to complete delimitation process even after taking a long time from the court. (NSS)
