BJP legislators visit Gandhi Hospital

BJP legislators on Thursday expressed dissatisfaction over the conditions in Gandhi Hospital.

BJP MLAs Dr. K. Lakshman, G. Kishan Reddy, Ramchandra Reddy and others visited the Gandhi Hospital and had a detailed inspection of the hospital premises. They pulled up hospital Superintendant and RMO for their failure to maintain the hospital in a good condition. Speaking to media persons later, they said that the patients and their attendants have no facilities and basic hygiene was not being maintained in the hospital premises.

They said despite giving the contract for housekeeping on outsourcing basis for Rs. 25 lakh per month, the hospital is in extremely bad shape. They said no special arrangements have been made for treatment of patients with Malaria and Dengue. They said although the State Government has announced Rs. 100 crore each for Gandhi Hospital and Osmania General Hospital, both the public hospitals are facing shortage of doctors, equipment and medicines.
