BJP leaders meet Governor over 108 Employees issues

BJP floor leader in Assembly Dr. K. Lakshman on Saturday demanded that the Telangana Government take immediate steps to resolve the issues pertaining to employees of 108 Emergency Services.

Speaking to media persons after submitting a memorandum to Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan here, Lakshman said that the 108 Emergency Services were not in proper shape due to improper maintenance of vehicles, non-payment of salaries and other benefits to employees. He said that the EMRI management has removed all the employees who participated in the dharna last time. He said that the employees should be given job security and their demands should be met.

Lakshman said that a State Legislature Committee was formed to study the problems being faced by 108 Emergency Services employees. However, the report the not tabled in the House.

108 Employees Union president Mahender Reddy demanded that the State Government take 108 Services under its direct management. (INN)
