BJP highlights Sircilla Rajaiah episode to corner Congress

New Delhi, Dec. 5 : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday lashed out at the Congress for indulging in ‘politics’ with regard to the crime against Dalits.

“Crime against Dalits in Haryana increased in ten years under Hooda. What did you do for that? Didn’t you feel sensitive towards it? Congress Party is doing politics with this. This is very much unfortunate and condemnable,” BJP spokesperson G.V.L. Narasimha Rao said.

“Is this Dalit justice of Sonia Gandhi ji? Did you accept your fault when three members of your minister’s (Sircilla Rajaiah)family were burnt to death? Did you ask for forgiveness from the Dalits?” he asked.

Rao was speaking in context of former Congress MP Sircilla Rajaiah, who was detained along with his wife and son, after the burnt bodies of his daughter-in-law and three grandsons were recovered from his residence in Telangana.

Rajaiah’s daughter-in-law had allegedly tried to commit suicide in March last year and had filed a case of dowry against the minister’s family. (ANI)
