BJP dubs Bangkok blast ‘heartbreaking’

New Delhi: Expressing sorrow over the loss of innocent lives in the Bangkok blast, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday dubbed the untoward incident as ‘heartbreaking’.

“It is quite heartbreaking to learn what has happened in Bangkok that in a bomb blast 12 people have lost their lives and many have been injured,” BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra told ANI.

“We pray to god for granting peace to those who have lost their lives and for granting health to those who are injured. I am sure the truth would be known very soon. But whenever such kind of things happen in the world, we are very pained,” he added.

A bomb explosion killed 12 people and left many others injured in Bangkok’s central Chidlom district this evening.

As per the police, the attack took place close to the Erawan Shrine.

The bomb exploded at about 19:00 local time (12:00 GMT).
