The Core-Committee of Telangana BJP on Friday discussed the preparations for the forthcoming GHMC elections.

The meeting, presided by Telangana unit president G Kishan Reddy, was attended by Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatraya, floor leader in Assembly Dr. K. Lakshman and other senior leaders. According to sources, the core-committee members discussed the strategy to be adopted to win the elections. They were of the view that they should continue the alliance with the TDP and contest on majority of seats in the city. They also discussed the possible impact of alliance between TRS and MIM.

The committee also held discussions on the by-elections to Warangal Lok Sabha seat which fell vacant due to resignation of Deputy CM Kadiyam Srihari.

Some committee members asked Kishan Reddy to clarify on ‘Telangana Bachao Mission’ launched by BJP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy.
