Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatraya said that the results of Bihar Assembly elections do not reflect the failure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Speaking to media persons here on Sunday, Dattaraya said that the defeat of NDA in Bihar should not be viewed as Modi’s failure. He said that BJP had lost Bihar elections due to several factors including re-alignment of castes.
Dattatraya said that the BJP would review the reasons for its defeat in Bihar polls and the identified mistakes would be rectified. He said that the BJP welcomes the verdict given by the people of Bihar.
Commenting on the results, Telangana BJP president G. Kishan Reddy said that the delay by BJP to name the Chief Ministerial candidate was the major reason for party’s defeat. He claimed that the Bihar results would not have an impact on the outcome of Warangal by-elections. (INN)
