Bihar polls: BJP to announce seat-sharing deal this evening

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday said that a decision on seat-sharing in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections has been finalised and would be declared this evening.

“The talks were successful. We will declare everything this evening in the presence of Amit Shah,” BJP leader Ananth Kumar told the media here.

He further affirmed that the BJP-led NDA alliance would emerge victorious in the polls.

BJP president Amit Shah held a late night meeting yesterday with Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) chief Ram Vilas Paswan, BJP’s Bhupendra Yadav and Ananth Kumar to take a final decision on seat sharing.

Shah also held talks with two other allies, Jitan Ram Manjhi of the Hindustan Awam Morcha ( HAM) and Upendra Kushwaha of the Rashtriya Lok Samata Party ( RLSP), this morning.

The Bihar Assembly elections will be held in five phases between October 12 and November 5 with the results scheduled to be announced on November 8. (ANI)
