Bihar polls a battle between Modi’s Kauravas and Mahagathbandhan’s Pandavas, says Lalu

Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav on Thursday asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to apologise to the people of Bihar for insulting them with his concocted assertions. He said the BJP was fighting the assembly polls with all ulterior motives.

Taking on Prime Minister Modi for his constant criticism, Lalu challenged him to reveal his ‘shaitaan’ comment before Bihar’s voters.

“I challenge Modi to bring to the fore my ‘shaitaan’ remark or else tender an apology to the people of Bihar. Modi should stop insulting Bihar with his concocted assertions,” he said.

“Modi has, through me, called the Dalits and those belonging to the backward communities ‘shaitaan’. Frustrated by the unity of the Dalits and backward communities, you are attempting to hide behind the devil (comment),” he added.

The former Bihar chief minister alleged that the people of the state are fully aware about a ‘talkative’ Prime Minister’s constant silence on core issues of price rise, unemployment and black money.

Invoking Lord Krishna to target the BJP, he alleged that the latter was leading an army of Kauravas in Bihar.

“The BJP with its army of Kauravas is fighting the Pandavas. The Kauravas had all the resources at hand, but the Pandavas had only Lord Krishna by their side. And who won the battle is known to one and all,” he said in a series of tweets.

At a rally in Munger earlier, Prime Minister Modi attacked the RJD leader over his ‘Hindus also eat beef remark’, saying he has insulted people of Bihar and particularly the ‘Yaduvanshis’ community who had brought him to power.

Taking a jibe at Lalu, he said a ‘shaitan’ has entered a human body.

Amid outrage over the lynching of a man in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh, following rumours that he and his family were storing and eating beef, Lalu had earlier stoked a controversy by saying that Hindus also eat beef and accused the BJP of “communalising” the issue.

“Poor people eat meat to beat their hunger. Those who go outside (the country) eat beef. Even Hindus eat beef. There is no difference between beef and goat meat,” he said. (ANI)
