Bihar Poll results Good for Country & Secularism–CPI

The Communist Party of India (CPI) has said today that the great defeat of Religious fundamentalists in the Bihar elections will bode well for the country and the Secular systems.

In a press note here today, CPI National Secretary Dr K Narayana said the people of Bihar have given a fitting lesson to the BJP-led alliance.  The religious fundamentalists have not properly understood the country-wide revolt by the intellectuals (who returned their Titles and Awards).

He said that the absence of representation to the CPI and CPM in the elections was a sad factor. He, however, added that they would abide by the verdict of the people.

Dr Narayana said the national executive of the party will analyze the Bihar poll results at its meetings to be held at Delhi on November 26 and 27. (NSS)
