Bicycle rally to raise awareness about women safety in Maharashtra

Aurangabad, July 27 : The Maharashtra Police organized a bicycle rally in Aurangabad yesterday to create awareness on women safety.

Thousands of people of all ages took part in the rally that covered a distance of 20 kilometers.

“I think the motive behind this rally, to make the city safe for women, has been rewarding as everyone including the children took part in it. The city police have done a good job. Hence, we will be able to make this city crime-free for all,” said a participant, Mangala Borkar.

The rally was safety personified, as it witnessed women, men and children from diverse backgrounds and different age coming together to participate.

More than 2,000 bicycles took part in the rally.

“We are working to sensitize public about women safety. We will continue with this police-public interaction programme” said the Commissioner of Police, Aurangabad, Amitesh Kumar. (ANI)
