Bhudan land irregularities probe demanded by CPI

Hyderabad: CPI of Greater Hyderabad South Zone organized a rally (Challo Raj Bhavan) yesterday demanding CBI probe in respect of irregularities committed in Bhudan lands. The rally was led by Mr. Syed Aziz Pasha, former CPI member of Rajya Sabha. It was attended by more than 300 workers. Police arrested and shifted them to the nearest police station.

Mr. Aziz Pasha told that more than two lakh acres of Bhudan land registered with Bhudan society was to be distributed to poor persons but the former Chairman of the society Rajinder Reddy sold it to capitalist by changing the documents. Due to this irregularity pointed out by CPI, Govt. suspended Rajinder Reddy but no action has been taken against him so far. Mr. Aziz Pasha demanded the Govt. to take back the land belonged to Budan society on which shopping malls, theaters, hospitals and major commercial organizations have been setup. This land should be distributed to weaker sections and action should be taken against those who are involved in it, otherwise CPI would intensify its agitation.
