Bengaluru triple murder: one more body recovered from manhole

Bengaluru :Attempts are on to fish out the body of a child, who along with two other siblings, was kidnapped and killed by their uncle, who had an alleged relationship with their mother.

While one body was recovered yesterday, the second one was fished out today.

Police, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and other rescue teams are trying to locate the body of the third child, a senior police official said.

Two boys and a girl aged between 4 and 8 years, had been reported missing from their school at Banaswadi on August 27.

Police later found that the three were kidnapped by their uncle, who reportedly confessed to having murdered them and dumping their bodies into a manhole near HBR Layout.

Police said authorities have now confined the search to a restricted area after consulting Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board officials about the stretch of the manhole.

Police claimed the accused had a relationship with the mother of the children, who had separated from her husband.

The accused, who was enraged by opposition from his family for wanting to marry a mother of three, suspected that she had relationship with other men. Seeking vengeance for betraying him, he killed her kids, police said.
