Beef Festival: OU students lodge complaint against BJP MLA

Raja Singh

The students of Osmania University on Monday lodged a complaint against BJP MLA D. Raja Singh at the OU Police Station accusing him of causing obstruction in conduct of Beef Festival on December 10.

The organisers of Beef Festival said that the BJP MLA has been trying to create a controversy over conduct of Beef Festival in the OU campus. They alleged that the BJP Government at the Centre was trying to prevent people from eating food of their choice. They contended that the Beef Festival would be conducted at any cost in the OU premises.

Meanwhile, Raja Singh made a representation with Incharge Vice-Chancellor Raju Ranjan asking him not to permit the Beef Festival. He said a majority of people in India worship cow and the some students were trying to hurt their religious feelings by organising the Beef Festival. (INN)
