Hyderabad: Govt. of Telangana has amended the rules relating to bank guarantee for the medical students selected under B-category. These students are now required to produce bank guarantee only for one year whereas as per the old rules it was four years.
It may be mentioned that as per the Govt. order, private medical colleges fill up 35% medical seats under management quota by conducting a separate entrance test. These seats are filled up according to merit. The students selected under this quota are required to pay Rs. 1 lakh as annual fee. The college managements had been insisting the students to produce bank guarantee for four years which the Govt. has relaxed to one year now.
