Bangkok blasts: Police issue arrest warrant against two more suspects

New York, Aug 31 : Thai police have issued two more arrest warrants against a Thai woman and a foreign man, whose nationality remains unknown, in connection with the deadly Bangkok temple blast that killed 20 people two weeks ago.

According to The New York Times, police have also released images of the suspects during a television statement.

Police broadcast the woman’s Thai identification card showing her in a black headscarf and a sketch of the man.

Earlier on Saturday, police arrested a man from an apartment in Bangkok’s outskirts and confiscated bomb-making equipment that included detonators, ball bearings and a metal pipe believed to be a bomb casing.

National police spokesman Prawuth Thavornsiri said that more bomb-making materials were discovered in a second apartment during a raid in a nearby neighborhood.

The apartment was rented by the suspected Thai woman and the foreign suspect, whose face is shown in a police sketch, is believed to have lived in the apartment.

The blast at Bangkok’s Erawan Shrine had left more than 120 people injured. (ANI)
