A nine-month-old baby was allegedly abducted from Gandhi Hospital on Saturday.
Acording to police couple Ramesh and Renuka who hail from Gollapally village of Medak district along with their baby daughter Kavya, came to Gandhi Hospital on Friday as Renuka was said to be suffering from thyroid disease.
Due to unavailability of doctors on Friday, the couple asked to come back on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Ramesh who found it difficult to travel all the way back to Medak, stayed back in the hospital with his family.
According to the couple while the family members were sleeping in front of the casualty ward, a woman came and started conversation with Renuka.
“During the course of conversation when Renuka fall asleep, the lady allegedly took the baby from her mother and disappeared,” the cops said based on Renuka’s complaint. Chilkalguda police have registered a case and have examined the CCTV footage from the hospital and launched a search to find the child.
