Azam slams those having ‘problem’ with aid to Akhlaq

Controversial UP minister Azam Khan today criticised Governor Ram Naik’s remark over Rs 45 lakh compensation to Dadri lynching victim, and said if anyone has problem with it then the Prime Minister can ask the Uttar Pradesh government to withdraw the help.

“We will arrange the money through contribution and help Akhlaq’s family. Prime Minister Narendra Modi can ask the state government to withdraw the compensation offered to the aggrieved family if anyone has problem,” he said.

Asked about the compensation given to the victim’s family, Governor Naik yesterday said,”The compensation amount should be the same for similar incidents… Since victim’s family fall into hardship.”

“And within the next five days, we would collect double of the compensation through donations and give it to Akhlaq’s family,” Khan said during his visit here yesterday.
