Awami League leader’s slit-throat body found in Dhaka

Dhaka, Dec. 5 : Bangladesh police have found the body of an Awami League leader Anamul Huq Gias with his throat slit in West Sanarpar in Dhaka’s Demra area this morning.

According to The Daily Star, Gias was Awam League general secretary of ward No. 8 in Dhaka, said Shirajul Islam, officer-in-charge of Demra Police Station.

He said they recovered the body after locals informed them.

Reason behind the killing could not be known immediately, he added. (ANI)
