According to Mohammed Amanullah Khan Convenor Telangana Auto Drivers Joint Action Committee, the JAC has given 1-day strike notice on August 18. He claimed that compulsion of Aadhaar card is nothing but a conspiracy to drive away majority of the existing autos from the city. There are a number of autos whose ownership has not been transferred in the name of the existing new owners consequently thousands of Auto divers will leave driving profession.
Convenor JAC further stated that if Transport Department does not roll back Aadhaar Card condition the auto driving profession would be greatly affected.
