Dhaka, Nov.1 : Bangladesh Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has dubbed the attack on publisher Faisal Arefin Dipan an isolated incident.

The Home Minister’s remark came a day after Dipan was hacked to death and publisher Ahmedur Rashid Tutul and bloggers Tareque Rahim and Ranadipam Basu were attacked in another incident.

The law enforcers are investigating the two incidents thoroughly, he added.

Dipan and Tutul were publishers of slain secularist writer-blogger Avijit Roy, who was killed in Dhaka University earlier in February.

The UN has expressed deep concern over threat to free speech in the country and appealed to the government to provide immediate protection to citizens who are at risk. (ANI)
