Asha workers burn Harish Rao’s effigy

Nearly 100 Asha workers on Sunday took out a rally against Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao and also burnt his effigy in Dandepaly of Adilabad district.

The Asha workers, who work for AIDS Control Society, strongly condemned Harish Rao’s refusal to accept their demand for increase in salaries when their delegation met him on Saturday. In protest against the minister’s behaviour, the Asha workers took out a mock funeral procession of Harish Rao and burnt his effigy at Dandepally Bus Stand. Later, they also staged Rasta Roko protest while raising slogans against the TRS Government and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. (INN)
