Arogyasri CEO makes surprise visit to Yashoda Hospital

Chief Executive Officer of Arogyasri Healthcare Trust, Dr Chandrashekar along with the officials, made a surprise inspection to the Yashoda Hospitals, Somajiguda and found certain deficiencies.

They found that there is no Aarogyasri Kiosk available at the entrance or near the reception of the Hospital. There are no banners as to guide the Aarogyasri patients. The NWH is not maintaining the boards showing the specialities empanelled by the Hospital and current bed strength. The NWH is not maintaining the Emergency Drugs at the Pharmacy for quick disposal and not having MR Compatibility Equipment at the Radiology Department.

It has also been noticed that the Cath Lab and ICU Staff attending the patients without wearing masks and caps (not maintaining dress code). It is also noticed that the NWH is treating Aarogyasri Patients separately in the different block without basic amenities. The Aarogyasri Block is totally against the Aarogyasri Norms. There is no Fire NOC for the block and no lift facility.

The CEO was astonished to know that not even a single duty medical officer was present at the Aarogyasri Ward at time of inspection and also noticed that there is deficiency of para medical staff. It was also noticed that at the Blood Bank only para medical staff is handling the donors without supervision of duty medical officer. The Aarogyasri Kiosk was not available at “B” block of the NWH.

Basing on the above deficiencies, notice will be issued to the hospital and necessary disciplinary action will be initiated against the Hospital, said that CEO. (INN)
