APPSC staff accused of stealing files from TSPSC confidential room

Alleging that Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) employees intruded into their confidential room by using duplicate keys and took away very important files, the TNGOs’ leader Vittal has said they would bring the crime to the notice of the State government as well as the two Telugu States’ common Governor ESL Narasimhan.

The TNGOs leader said while the first floor of the PSC building was allotted for the two Telugu States for common use, the second and third floors were exclusively allotted for Telangana PSC and fourth and fifth floors to the APPSC. Even an agreement to this effect was inked at the time bifurcation of the united State. The agreement was also endorsed by the Governor.

Vittal said as the APPSC has failed to vacate the II and III floors of the building as per the agreement, the TSPSC was constrained to set up its confidential room on the fifth floor. He said on Friday night the APPSC employees trespassed into their confidential room on the fifth floor and took away highly important confidential files. As the space on the II and III floors was not sufficient in the wake of process of filling vacant posts on a large scale, the TNGOs leader demanded that the APPSC immediately vacate the building and allow the staff to do their jobs.

The TNGOs leaders also filed a complaint with the Begum Bazaar police on Friday on theft of key files from their confidential room. The police have started investigation. (NSS)
