Telangana will be the place of manufacturing “Apache” helicopters as the Telangana Government is all set to give boost to aerospace sector in the State. IT Minister K T Rama Rao today said the noted Apache Helicopters unit would come up in Hyderabad soon.
Participating in a “Boeing Global Summit” at Gatchibowli here on Wednesday, the IT Minister said they have decided to set up an Apache Helicopter industry in the city. “Indeed with the active collaboration of Tata Advance and Boeing companies, the Apache manufacturing unit will take shape in Telangana State to cater to the needs of aerospace industry”, he disclosed.
The minister also expressed pleasure at Boeing and Tata Advanced – the global giants joining hands to set up the Apache unit. This will help boost the aerospace sector in Hyderabad which will become a global hub for many sectors like IT, industry and others, he noted. To set up aerospace special economic zones of Defence sector in Adibhatla, Nadergul and Ibrahimpatnam near Hyderabad, the State government will take all steps for expeditious setting up of the Apache in Hyderabad, he remarked.
