AP wants fast tracking on stalled projects by CCI-PMG

Chief Secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao held a meeting today with Joint Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat New Delhi V.P. Roy to discuss about fast tracking on the stalled projects by CCI-PMG and the projects comes under Petroleum and Natural Gas Sector.

Doubling of Railway Line from Guntakal and Guntur, Vizianagarm to Raipur, Nadikudi-Srikalahasti Railway line, Railway Electrification works under the Projects of Cabinet Committee of Investment (CCI) – Project Monitoring Group (PMG) discussed in the meeting.

Central Organization for Railway Electrification (CORE) officials informed that Railway Electrification work in Nallapadu – Diguva Metta section is in full swing and is targeted to be completed by July 2016. The Chief Secretary issued instructions for electrical supply to these traction substations is to be provided through 132 kv EHT power supply from APTRANSCO.

Widening of existing Road from Kathipudi (EG Dist.) to Ongole, inclusion of Nagarjuna Sagar to Erpedu road in National Highways and other related issues are discussed.

Advisor, A.P. Railway Projects Srivastava, Commissioner Industries Department Kartikeya Misra and other officials attended the meeting. (INN)
