AP Govt to launch second phase of Health Cards for journalists

Andhra Pradesh Minister for Information and Public Relations Dr. Palle Raghunatha Reddy said today that so far about 20,504 Health cards are generated and about 5300 journalists’ family details have been enrolled in the system..

The minister, who reviewed the Implementation of Working Journalists Health Insurance Scheme with the Departmental Officials at Secretariat today, said that on the request of the journalists and Journalists Unions it has been decided to start the second phase of Health cards enrollment shortly.

In this regard the Minister has instructed the DPROs of all 13 districts to accept applications from all the accredited Journalists. The applications of journalists (State Accreditation) with their personal declaration based at Hyderabad shall be accepted at Press Section, Commissionerate, Hyderabad and New Delhi at A.P Information Center, AP. Bhavan.

The Individual Journalists have to take a DD worth of Rs.1250/- in favor of Accounts officer, I & PR Department, Hyderabad and the last date for submitting application along with the details and premium (DD) is 15th September. (INN)
