AP Govt deploys teachers in schools of 7 merged mandals

The East Godavari and West Godavari districts have deployed teachers on deputation to the schools in seven merged Mandals from Agency temporarily for smooth functioning of the schools and also permission has been accorded to the both the District Collectors to appoint the qualified and eligible candidates with a special Notification in schools the merged Mandals of Khammam District in twin Godavari Districts, Chief Secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao said.

The Chief Secretary chaired a meeting with the officers of Revenue, Tribal Welfare Departments and through video conference with the District Collectors of East and West Godavari to discuss on functioning modes of the Departments in the merged Mandals.

Krishna Rao informed that two new Revenue Divisional Offices are constituted per each District to look after the Departments which are non-functioning. Both the District Collectors briefed about the status of the staff position in each Department. There are 485 sanctioned posts of Teachers which need to be filled.

The Chief Secretary directed the District Collectors and officers concerned to send a broad statement showing the staff filled up posts and balance posts to be filled. The vacancies will be filled shortly with a special notification and also suggested that schools may be run with the help of vidya volunteers where available in Tribal Areas.
