AP DGP seeks 25 more IPS officers

Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police J.V. Ramudu called on Union Home Secretary in New Delhi on Monday and sought allocation of 25 more IPS officers for the State.

Speaking to media persons later, Ramudu said besides allocation of 25 more IPS officers, funds have been sought for setting up of Police Academy for Andhra Pradesh. He said nearly 2,000 acres of forest land have been identified to set up the academy. He said that the Centre has been urged to deploy more number of BSF and CRFP platoons for the State. (INN)
