The Communist Party of India (CPI) Andhra Pradesh State Council has alleged that there were no jobs to the unemployed youth even though N Chandrababu Naidu had become Chief Minister of the State.

Extending support to the Unemployed Youth JAC ‘Chalo Assembly’ program, Andhra Pradesh State Council secretary K Ramakrishna alleged that the State has failed in releasing a single notification even though there were 1.40 lakh vacant posts in the State. He pointed out that Chandrababu Naidu, who competes in all aspects with neighboring Telangana State, has failed to compete in releasing job notifications. He demanded that the government discuss employment opportunities in the ongoing Assembly session.

The police have detained the Nirudyogula Ikyavedika president Lagudu Govindarao, All India Youth Federation (AIYF) State general secretary Navaneetham Sambasiva Rao, including 30 youth. The CPI condemned the arrest of the agitating unemployed youth. CPI MLC P J Chandrashekar Rao called on the unemployed youth in the police station and extended his full support to them. (NSS)
