AP CM asks China to plan proposed silk route through Vizag

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today appealed to the Chinese government to design the proposed silk route via Visakhapatnam in the state.

Naidu held discussion with the Chinese team of officials which was led by its International Department’s Deputy Minister Chen Fengxiang here, an official release said.

The Chief Minister informed them that Andhra Pradesh lies between Kolkata and Chennai ports and would be developed as a logistics hub for South East Asia.

He also explained to them the importance of Amaravathi asked the Chinese team to consider it as a second home after Shanghai, it said.

Asking them to be a partner in Amaravathi’s construction, Naidu said it would be one of the top five cities in the world and would be developed as a blue and green city.

The deputy minister said more companies from China will participate in building the city and added that Naidu’s vision would be fulfilled with the construction of Amaravati as one of the best cities in the world.

The Chinese Deputy Minister expressed his confidence that the relationship between India and China would be strengthened in the future with more bilateral trade.
