New Delhi, Dec 4 : Lead actresses of upcoming Bollywood drama ‘Angry Indian Goddesses’, Sandhya Mridul, Anushka Manchanda, Sarah-Jane Dias , Rajshri Deshpande and Pavleen Gujral were in the National Capital to promote their film. And the girly gang was all geared up for the release of their flick.

Being billed as India’s first all-out female buddy film, ‘Angry Indian Goddesses’ marks director Pan Nalin’s debut in mainstream Hindi Cinema.

Speaking exclusively to ANI, Sandhya who plays one of the lead characters in the movie said, “It’s basically about a week with girls in Goa, where Sara’s character is getting married and she invites her college friends, colleagues and what happens with these seven women. It’s like a little journey, the fun that they have, experiences that they share and the things that comes out about each one of them and certain incidents that takes place in Goa.”

Talking about their ‘girly chemistry’ in the film, debutant actress Pavleen Gujral said, “So it’s mine, Anushka and Rajshri’s first movie, but Sandhya tells us that you all are spoiled for life because this is not how a regular movie set is, there is not so much freedom on the sets, leading ladies don’t share such comfort level among each other.”

The movie which was screened in the Special Presentations section of the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival has been widely appreciated in many film festivals across the globe and is hitting Indian theatres on December 4.(ANI)
